Assistant Football Coach
Southern Boone High School
Southern Boone High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Football Coach to join our high school athletic program for the 2026-27 school year. This position supports the Head Football Coach in building a competitive, positive, and student-centered football experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of practices and game strategies
- Supporting the development of student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Supervising players during practices, games, meetings, and travel
- Promoting academic success, character development, and positive behavior
- Assisting with equipment management, field preparation, and program needs
- Upholding school, district, and MSHSAA policies and expectations
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of football fundamentals and coaching techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, students, and families
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Previous coaching experience preferred but not required
- Must meet all district and MSHSAA coaching requirements
