What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Coordinator position at High School Main Building?
Primary Purpose:
Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of academic guidance to
students and faculty. Support teachers in improving classroom instruction to
increase student achievement. Primary duties include modeling effective
teaching strategies, providing one-on-one coaching and feedback, analyzing
student data to guide instruction, and helping teachers plan rigorous, standards-
aligned lessons. Facilitate professional development, promote best practices,
and collaborate with administrators to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction
across the campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master of Education Degree
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Preferred: Principal Certification or currently enrolled in a program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction, data disaggregation, career development, 504
procedures, special education, and teacher appraisal. Excellent organizational,
communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to instruct students and manage
their academic progress.
Experience:
Five years teaching experience
