Lead Chimney Technician – DC, MD, VA
Pay: Negotiable, based on experience
High’s Chimney Service is seeking an experienced Lead Chimney Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with hands-on chimney experience, strong craftsmanship, leadership skills, and the ability to work well with others on a jobsite.
This position requires working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding, leading projects, and helping train and supervise laborers or junior technicians.
Responsibilities:
Lead and perform chimney relining, repair, masonry, and related chimney work
Assist with and supervise laborers and junior technicians on site
Set up, tear down, and manage equipment and materials
Follow safe work practices when working on roofs, ladders, and scaffolding
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
Help ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
Requirements:
Previous chimney, masonry, or related construction experience required
Ability to lead a crew and work well with others
Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
Ability to lift heavy materials, tools, and equipment as needed
Willingness to work throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia
Valid driver’s license and clean/acceptable driving record
Reliable transportation
Strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a professional attitude
Authorized to work in the United States
