High Rocks Hub Cafe AmeriCorps Member

High Rocks Hub Café is looking for 3 full-time AmeriCorps members to start early September 2026.

Hub AmeriCorps members serving during the 2026-2027 term will provide direct service to Greenbrier County, WV and the youth participants at the Hub in Lewisburg, WV.

The Hub is a youth social enterprise that functions as a cafe and community center. We have three full year AmeriCorps positions open. All positions start early September 2026 and end August 31, 2027. Members will gain hands-on experience in barista and culinary skills while building valuable workplace and business competencies. AmeriCorps members provide welcoming customer service, assist with catering, represent the café at farmers markets and community events, support café marketing and social media, help maintain records and evaluation data, coordinate after-school tutoring and workshops, mentor young community members and contribute to meaningful programs that serve both youth and our wider community.

These positions will serve High Rocks Educational Corporation under the program of the Hub.

Strong candidates have excellent, clear communication and organizational skills, be a team player, have a desire to learn and help build working systems as well as have personal accountability and a good work ethic. A good attitude and flexibility is also essential.

Benefits include:

· $886.96 (pre-tax) twice monthly

· A Segal Education Award of $7,395.00 at successful completion of service (1700 hours, 40 hour work weeks) between early September 2026 and August 2027. This award can be used to pay down existing student debt, or for future educational expenses. AmeriCorps Members will have 7 years to use this award.

· Any AmeriCorps member completing this year of service may be eligible for a year of tuition waiver at participating West Virginia colleges, universities and trade schools. Multiple terms can be combined.

· Health care can be provided if the member does not qualify for Medicaid.

· Child Care Assistance is also available if needed.

· Housing is available if requested.
