Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces when applicable
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygienic living conditions
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents to clean surfaces, floors, carpets, and upholstery effectively
- Manage laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
- Dust surfaces, clean windows, mirrors, and other fixtures to maintain a sparkling appearance
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or appliances safely and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns
- Maintain organized cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment
- Follow safety protocols for janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential cleaning or custodial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and janitorial supplies management
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely when necessary
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during cleaning tasks
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for properties with exterior maintenance needs
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and moving furniture as needed
