We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory / METRC Specialist to join our team and help us maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with Michigan state regulations.

Job Summary:

The Inventory / METRC Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control, including the use of the METRC system for seed-to-sale tracking. This role involves regular inventory audits, accurate data entry, and ensuring all products are properly labeled and stored according to state guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of Michigan's cannabis regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • METRC Compliance: Manage and maintain the METRC system, ensuring all inventory data is accurately entered and up-to-date.
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Receiving Shipments: Inspect and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders, and record them in the inventory management system.
  • Product Labeling: Ensure all products are properly labeled with required information, including THC content, usage instructions, and health warnings.
  • Storage: Store products in a secure, climate-controlled environment to maintain quality.
  • Reporting: Generate and submit required reports to the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA), including inventory, sales, and waste disposal records.
  • Compliance: Stay current with state and local cannabis regulations and ensure all inventory practices comply with these laws.
  • Training: Assist in training staff on inventory control procedures and METRC compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the METRC system and Michigan cannabis regulations.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data entry.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
