What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Medicine/ Clinical Assistant Professor, Non- tenure track position at High Point University?
This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment with duties in the High Point University Oral Health Network (OHN) and Workman School of Dental (WSDM), which includes the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and post-doctoral programs. Professional rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications at time of hire.
The faculty member in Oral Medicine is responsible in providing patient care in OHN and educating pre-doctoral dental students and post-doctoral residents in WSDM. The position will report to the Chief Clinical Officer and executive leadership team (ELT) of the Workman School of Dental Medicine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
The candidate will be expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to :
Patient care
- Provide comprehensive and emergency oral medicine, oncology, and hospital dentistry services for patients seen in affiliate hospitals with the HPU Oral Health Network (OHN)
- Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, ethical-fitness, and patient-centered approach
- Documentation of patient history, examination findings, diagnosis, treatment planning utilizing electronic health record (EPIC)
- Comfort with multi-disciplinary approach to treatments
- Be able to cover for other OHN providers, as needed.
