The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive support to three offices at High Point University: the Office of the Senior Vice President for Student Success and Executive Education, the Office of the Vice President for Career and Professional Development, and the Honors Program. This position is responsible for delivering high-level administrative support, including managing budgets and reimbursements, maintaining office websites and social media presences, preparing print and digital media (such as pamphlets, reports, and flyers), creating and maintaining databases, drafting correspondence, and coordinating meetings and travel. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of multitasking, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate excellent computer proficiency, and work effectively with students, faculty, and administrators. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Vice President for Student Success and Executive Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associates degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience and Training:
- Proficiency using various computer platforms and programs, including MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Blackboard (or other learning management platforms), and social media
- Experience working closely with students, faculty, and administrators in a college setting
- Familiarity with WordPress website platform is desirable

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Produce materials and media related to the three offices
- Liaison and communicate with students and faculty
- Edit, proofread, and format documents
- Assist with event planning
- Assist with academic fairs
- Maintains record/filing systems
- Create and maintain databases
- Process travel reimbursements related to the work of each office
- Purchasing supplies for all departments
- Compile data or documentation
- File documents or records
- Prepare reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, or design software
- Assist in documentation for assessment
- Other duties as assigned
