High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Clinician will be located onsite at the Family Resource Center (FRC) to provide standardized screening, assessment, service planning, and referral services for family served at the FRC. The Clinician shall have at least three-years of experience as a Licensed Clinician, certification and experience administrating the Massachusetts Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessment and demonstrated skill in administering a modified CANS Assessment for Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues.

Clinician Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services as required in the contract between United Way of Greater Plymouth County, Inc.’s contract with the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families (DCF) and the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS).
  • The contract is to serve families and children referred to UWGPC’s The Family Center, particularly families referred through the courts with Children Requiring Assistance (CRA).
  •  Provide expertise in working with high risk and trauma-affected families, utilizing a strengths-based asset development approach.
  •  Provide quality and strength-based services to benefit the families and youth who utilize the UWGPC’s Family Resource Center under funding and contract requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families to prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations Crisis intervention Maintain assigned caseload
  • Providing direct care to patients (children, adolescents and adults– including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments
  • Responsible for each assigned patients medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner  
  • Provide direct care to the patients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patients. discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of patients assigned
  • Responsible for linking patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient services when appropriate 
  • Attend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Clinical Director, and/or the Senior Clinician

Clinician Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • License required
  • 3 years experience
