High Point Friends School (HPFS) is an independent Quaker school in High Point, North Carolina, serving approximately 100 students from ages 2 through eighth grade. Founded in 1963 by members of High Point Monthly Meeting of Friends, the school was established with a commitment to welcoming students from diverse backgrounds and educating the whole child in the Quaker tradition.
Located on the grounds of High Point Friends Meeting, the campus features a tech lab and library, gymnasium with rock-climbing walls, theater stage, student-tended gardens, wooded trails with creek access, and outdoor athletic spaces that support experiential and community-centered learning. HPFS fosters a culture of inclusion, critical thinking, service, and environmental stewardship, preparing students to lead with integrity and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the wider world.
HPFS is seeking elementary school teacher applicants for the 2026-2027 school year. Ideal candidates will have 3 years teaching experience with an active teaching license, comfort with and excitement for building rigorous and engaging curriculum and aligning with other teachers, and enthusiasm for building a classroom culture rooted in relationships and the Quaker SPICES (simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship).
