What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Grade Long Term Substitute Teacher position at High Point Christian School?
THE POSITION: High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a candidate to be the 2nd grade long-term substitute teacher starting in January 2026 through the end of the May! Teachers at HPCS are committed to not only the academic growth of our students, but also their spiritual growth as well. This is achieved by prayerfully helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter specific to the 2nd grade level that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. WHO WE ARE: High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Show evidence of Christian maturity
- Have a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Have excellent written and verbal communication
- Basic understanding of computer systems and technology
BENEFITS AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Salary –$20 per hour
- Position as 2nd Grade Teacher is considered 1.0 FTE
