What Youll Do
Respond directly to mental health crisis calls in the communitymeeting
individuals where they live, work, and playto provide timely,
compassionate, on-site support. \[Center vehicle provided\].
Serve as a calm, steady presence during high-stress situations. Use
trauma-informed de-escalation techniques to help individuals regain a
sense of safety, control, and stability.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary crisis response team, law
enforcement, emergency services, and community partners to ensure
coordinated, person-centered care.
Provide short-term, impactful support designed to stabilize individuals
in crisis and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency room
visits.
Develop safety plans, identify coping strategies, and connect
individuals & families to community resources and ongoing supports once
the immediate crisis has passed.
Maintain clear, timely documentation of services.
Participate in required training for crisis response, trauma-informed
care, and safety procedures.
