What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Clerk/DMV Specialist position at High Octane Harley-Davidson?
We are currently looking for an experienced DMV Specialist!
This position is responsible for proper titling of new, used, and wholesale units for the dealership. Knowledge of DMV laws along with providing a full range of administrative support is required.
Job Duties:
- Ensures retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
- Prepares purchase and trade-in documentation.
- Contacts backs to obtain lien releases.
- Prepares tax and title documents.
- Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
- Ensures the dealer’s tag and title work meets state requirements.
- Prepare and submit all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles.
- Answer all customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Negotiate through complex issues using available resources in the DMV and Dealer Finance Department to achieve a positive customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of DMV experience required.
- High degree of accuracy and time management.
- Customer service background with phone and computer experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong work ethic and willing to give 110% to get the job done correctly.
- Professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using various Google Drive applications to include but not limited to GoogleSheets and GoogleDocs a plus.
- Must be able to multitask and input data with accuracy and efficiency in a high paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
