High Mowing School is searching for Full-Time School Nurse
About the Position
High Mowing School is now accepting applications for a full-time School Nurse to support our full-time Director of Health Services. This role protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. Grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, they bridge healthcare and education and advocates for quality student-centered care. HMS has about 140 high school students; about half live on campus.
This is a full-time position with on-call expectations, including overnight and weekend coverage when boarding students are on campus.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in the State of NH
- Eligible for Certification/Certified as a School Nurse by the NH DOE
- Current BLS certification
Essential Duties
- Medication administration and wound care
- Initial and ongoing assessment of patients
- Monitoring of compliance with Federal, State, and local laws
- Managing health records
- Administering school health services
- Implementation of communicable disease control program
- Performs nursing functions
