Intern, Strategy and Communications
Location: Asheville, NC
High Lantern Group (HLG) is a strategic positioning and reputation management consultancy focused on developing early-stage strategy and communications for some of the most iconic brands and dozens of notable public and private organizations.
Interns work closely with a team of consultants and will have a wide range of responsibilities, including supporting clients as they plan and execute their external engagement strategies; conducting research on private-sector and policy issues; and developing content such as newsletters, social media messaging, and press releases. Interns will have the opportunity to work on challenging client questions, draft deliverables, and attend client meetings.
The internship will be open to in-person candidates only. The start date is flexible.

Desired Qualifications
- Current students and recent graduates who are motivated self-starters with experience or an interest in communications, healthcare, international relations, business, and public policy
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Experience developing clear and compelling communication materials, both in writing and in PowerPoint presentations
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
