What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at High Ground Construction?
Job Overview
We are looking to grow our site crew. We are looking for a full time carpenter ideally with experience running their own project. This person must be easy to work with and capable of running a job to our specifications. We can provide tools as necessary, but would appreciate if you have your own.
Responsibilities
- Direct and instruct apprentices in their tasks.
- Handle conversations with the client when appropriate.
- Create a safe work environment for other employees and yourself.
- Take our direction when needed, but be able to work on your own.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse project teams.
- Know the basics of how to use most general construction tools.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
