Job Description
High Flow Funding LLC, a commercial equipment leasing and finance company, is seeking a highly motivated, assertive, organized, and dependable Collections & Legal Recovery Administrator to join our team.
We are looking for someone who can take charge of daily collection activities, handle difficult customer conversations professionally, manage returned payments, and assist with legal collections, judgments, and equipment repossessions.
This is NOT a position for someone who needs constant supervision or direction. We need a self-starter who can multitask, follow through on commitments, meet deadlines, and get results in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collections: Contact customers regarding past-due lease payments by telephone, email, and text message.
- Bounced/Returned Payments: Monitor declined ACH and credit/debit card transactions, assess applicable fees, and promptly pursue payment.
- Customer Phone Calls: Handle incoming and outgoing calls, resolve payment issues, and communicate professionally with customers.
- Payment Arrangements: Negotiate payment commitments, document promises to pay, and follow up until payments are received.
- Default Notices: Prepare and send past-due notices, formal demands, default letters, and equipment surrender notices.
- Judgments & Legal Collections: Assist with preparing civil complaints, judgment paperwork, court filings, and documentation for collection attorneys.
- Repossessions: Coordinate equipment recovery efforts with repossession companies, customers, and legal representatives.
- Account Management: Maintain accurate customer records, payment histories, correspondence, and collection notes.
- Administrative Duties: Prepare invoices, process paperwork, maintain files, and assist with general office operations.
- Follow-Up: Independently track deadlines and ensure that delinquent accounts and outstanding matters are addressed promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior collections, accounts receivable, loan servicing, or related office experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with legal collections, judgments, court filings, or repossessions is a plus.
- Excellent telephone communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be assertive, confident, professional, and persistent when handling delinquent accounts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow applicable debt collection and consumer protection laws.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is not intimidated by difficult conversations.
- Is comfortable making collection calls throughout the day.
- Takes ownership of assignments without being reminded.
- Understands that follow-through is critical in collections.
- Can remain professional while being firm with customers.
- Does not let bounced payments, missed commitments, or unresolved accounts sit unattended.
- Is detail-oriented, reliable, and results-driven.
- Works well in a small, busy office where everyone is expected to contribute.
What We Offer
- Full-time employment with an established commercial equipment leasing company.
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
- Hands-on experience in commercial finance, equipment leasing, collections, and legal recovery.
- A professional, fast-paced working environment.
- Opportunity to grow with the company.
