Position Summary
High Five Behavioral Health is expanding our psychiatric medication-management services and is seeking an experienced, compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/APRN) to join our growing behavioral-health practice.
This is an opportunity to join High Five during an important stage of growth and help us build an integrated model where psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy work together to provide patients with coordinated behavioral healthcare.
The PMHNP will evaluate patients, diagnose psychiatric conditions within their scope of practice, develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe and manage medications as legally and clinically appropriate, monitor treatment outcomes, and collaborate with High Five's therapists and psychiatric leadership.
We are looking for a provider who wants more than simply seeing patients back-to-back. We want someone interested in becoming part of a growing behavioral-health organization and helping us build an exceptional psychiatric program.

As a High Five PMHNP, responsibilities may include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat appropriate psychiatric and behavioral-health conditions within your authorized scope of practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychiatric medication management and follow-up care.
- Prescribe medications consistent with Florida law, professional scope of practice, credentialing requirements, payer requirements, and High Five policies.
- Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, contraindications, interactions, and patient adherence.
- Order and review clinically appropriate laboratory testing and other diagnostic information when indicated.
- Document evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, medication decisions, and follow-up care accurately and timely.
- Conduct appropriate suicide, self-harm, violence, substance-use, and other safety/risk assessments.
- Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and follow established escalation procedures.
- Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare professionals when clinically appropriate and legally permitted.
- Participate in case consultation with High Five's psychiatric/clinical leadership.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and patient confidentiality.
- Follow HIPAA, Florida confidentiality requirements, prescribing regulations, and High Five policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement, chart review, and clinical education activities.
- Help create an outstanding patient experience from initial psychiatric evaluation through ongoing medication management.
Patient Population

Depending upon the practitioner's training, experience, credentialing, and scope, the PMHNP may work with patients experiencing conditions such as:

- Master's or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Florida APRN license in good standing.
- Current national certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) appropriate to the population being treated.

- Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, physicians, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based and patient-centered psychiatric care.
- FULLY CREDENTIALED IN MULTIPLE INSURANCE COMPANIES IS A HUGE PLUS
Experience in outpatient behavioral health is preferred, although we will consider candidates whose training and experience otherwise make them an excellent fit.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
High Five is building a behavioral-health organization designed around the entire patient experience, rather than operating medication management and psychotherapy as completely separate services.
Our PMHNPs will have access to an environment where behavioral-health professionals can collaborate appropriately while maintaining clear clinical responsibilities and patient confidentiality.
You'll also be joining during our growth stage, meaning you'll have an opportunity to contribute to the development of our psychiatric program rather than simply inheriting someone else's system.
Schedule
We are open to discussing:
Full-Time | Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling
Scheduling and patient volume will be established based upon the final position and provider availability.
We want to create a sustainable environment where providers can deliver excellent care rather than focusing exclusively on maximizing patient volume.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based upon experience, employment structure, schedule, credentialing, and patient volume.
Final compensation structure will be discussed during the interview process.
Why Join High Five?
We're building something bigger than a traditional medication-management practice.
Our goal is to create a behavioral-health organization where patients have better access to therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, and ongoing support while giving clinicians an environment in which they can focus on practicing high-quality medicine.
As High Five grows, we want our early psychiatric providers to have opportunities to grow with us.
