What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Lab Technician position at High Desert Milk?
Purpose/Scope of Position
The Lab Technician is responsible for the testing of raw materials, finished product, environmental testing and water testing as part of our Quality team. Along with all forms of testing, lab tech is responsible for accurate records, calibrations, training, cleaning of equipment and continuous development.
Shift
- 12 hour. Day shifts (2-2-3 schedule). Shifts are 6am-6pm.
Requirements/Skills
- Safety first: working around chemicals, heat, slippery floors, sharp objects, etc.
- Time management
- Sense of purpose/urgency
- Positive attitude. It makes a better team.
- Attention to detail is crucial
- Analytical skills
- Communication skills (verbal, written, non-verbal)
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma/GED
- Associates in Life science preferred
- Preferred 1 years of lab experience or quality control in food processing
- Preferred- experience using Microsoft Excel
