What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Instructor (Substitute) position at High Desert Medical College?
We are currently searching for a Medical Assistant Instructor driven by the success of student achievements. Preferred qualified candidates should have the ability to:
- Present well prepared facilitative classroom lectures and activities consistent with the course syllabus.
- Facilitate student success in meeting or surpassing course objectives contained in the syllabus.
- Promote the development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving and decision-making.
- Continually evaluate student preparation and assessments.
- Provide students with timely academic information and feedback.
- Assist management with driving retention rates.
- Complete associated administrative functions within established time frames
- Maintain professional integrity
Job Requirements
- Medical Assistant with at least two (3) years’ experience in the medical field (ACCET)
- Experience with EKGs, Phlebotomy, Medical Terminology, all Patient Vitals, Patient Chart, Vein puncture/Injections and all medical clinical skills
- Prior adult instructional experience is preferred, but not required
- Front and Back medical office skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Consistently display the highest levels of integrity
