The Laundry Attendant is responsible for sorting, inspecting, folding, organizing, and distributing laundry throughout the facility. Most laundry will already be washed and dried, allowing the attendant to focus primarily on checking for stains, treating stained items on designated days, folding clean laundry, and ensuring items are returned to their proper locations.
This position requires physical activity, including carrying laundry and traveling up and down stairs throughout the workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry, including linens, towels, bedding, and other facility laundry.
- Inspect laundry for stains, spots, or items that may need additional treatment.
- Separate stained or soiled items and set them aside for treatment on designated days.
- Apply appropriate stain treatments according to established procedures and product instructions.
- Keep clean, stained, and untreated laundry separated and properly organized.
- Transport laundry between floors and designated storage or work areas using stairs as needed.
- Deliver folded laundry to the appropriate rooms, closets, or storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area.
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Follow proper laundry-handling procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and carry laundry throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely carry or transport laundry up and down stairs multiple times during the workday.
- Ability to lift and move laundry baskets, bags, linens, and supplies.
- Ability to perform repetitive folding, sorting, and handling tasks.
Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail, especially when identifying stains and sorting laundry.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and complete assigned tasks.
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn proper stain-treatment methods and laundry procedures.

Work hours may vary depending on the number of guest checkouts and the laundry workload for the day. Daily scheduling and hours will be based on occupancy, checkout volume, and the amount of laundry that needs to be processed, sorted, folded, and organized. Flexibility is required, as some days may require more hours than others.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
