Job Summary
High Country Furniture and Design is seeking a hybrid creative and strategic Marketing Coordinator & Social Media Manager to join our team in Waynesville/ Hendersonville. We specialize in high-end, artisanal home furnishings that blend Mountain Rustic charm with modern aesthetics.
Your mission is to translate our unique showroom experience into a digital format. You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, manage social media campaigns, analyze marketing performance to engage our audience and drive growth, showcasing our curated collections, managing our brand presence, and driving both foot traffic and sales to our North Carolina showrooms. This role requires a balance of sophisticated design sensibility and data-driven marketing execution.
Your creativity and strategic mindset will help shape our online voice, foster community engagement, and support our overall marketing objectives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team committed to innovative digital storytelling and brand development.
You will be expected to go into one of our locations 3-4x a week and occasional Saturdays during major store events to capture content.
Duties
1. High-End Content Creation & Curation
- Capture and produce premium visual content within our showrooms, highlighting the textures, craftsmanship, and styling of our furniture pieces.
- Develop a consistent aesthetic for Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook that reflects our brand's elevated "Mountain Modern" identity.
- Create engaging Reels and TikTok content that provides interior design inspiration and "behind-the-scenes" looks at new arrivals.
- Develop, implement, and oversee engaging social media strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others to increase brand visibility and audience interaction.
- Create high-quality content including graphics, videos, photography, and written posts that align with branding guidelines and marketing goals.
2. Social Media & Community Management
- Manage the daily posting schedule and community engagement across all social platforms.
- Actively engage with local Waynesville and Asheville communities, as well as interior design and furniture enthusiasts nationwide.
- Utilize tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite for scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and managing multiple social media accounts efficiently.
- Coordinate with influencers or local partners for brand collaborations and styled shoots.
- Conduct social listening to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform content creation and strategy adjustments.
3. Digital Advertising & Performance
- Oversee and optimize Google Ads and Meta ad campaigns to target high-intent furniture shoppers.
- Track and report on monthly KPIs, including website traffic, lead generation from social media, and ad conversion rates.
- Manage email marketing campaigns, showcasing seasonal sales, new vendor spotlights, and design tips.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising, Google Ad's and other platforms to maximize reach and ROI while analyzing campaign performance using Google Analytics and web analytics tools.
- Collaborate with the public relations team to craft press releases, media pitches, and manage relationship management efforts with media outlets and influencers.
- Perform keyword research for SEO optimization of content; ensure proofreading for accuracy; support branding initiatives; assist with e-commerce promotions; and contribute to web analytics reporting for continuous improvement.
4. Showroom & Event Support
- Coordinate marketing for in-store events, seasonal sales, and new collection launches.
- Assist in maintaining website product listings to ensure descriptions and imagery meet our high standards.
- Ensure all physical marketing materials (signage, brochures) align with digital branding.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, social media scheduling tools, and Adobe Creative Cloud tools for graphic design and video editing.
- Familiarity with social listening tools such as Brandwatch or Mention; experience with social media management platforms like Hootsuite or Buffer is essential.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, Google Analytics, keyword research techniques, and web analytics tools.
- Strong skills in content creation—including photography, video editing, proofreading—and understanding of branding principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; excellent communication skills are a must.
