Dietary Cook (3pm-8pm) - Shady Pines

· Provide high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner

· Must communicate, coordinate and cooperate with residents, families, visitors and other staff

· Must provide nourishing food to residents, families, visitors and staff under sanitary conditions in accordance with rules and regulations of Department of Community Health

· Rotating shifts and well as holiday and work during inclement weather

· Must prepare palatable food that are appetizing in appearance

· Have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling

· Prepare meals according to planned menu

· Works with Proxy Caregiver related to weight loss or gain of residents

· Works with Proxy Caregiver related to physician diet orders (example: no salt diet etc.)

· Works with Proxy Caregiver related to any short-term changes in resident condition (example: soup, soft food)

· Makes any changes daily on menu as needed and approved by Administrator or Owner

· Planned menu must be signed off monthly by Administrator or Owner

· Must keep kitchen area clean and sanitary at all times

· Assures meals are prepared on time and served hot or cold, as needed

· Ensures food supplies are appropriate and places food orders as needed with supervision of Administrator or Owner

· Assist Administrator or Owner with any special events, parties for residents as scheduled on Activity Calendar

· Reports any needs of repairs to Administrator or Owner

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
