Responsibilities
- Set up traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers to establish safe work zones in accordance with project specifications.
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing disruptions.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians, and team members using hand signals, flags, or radio communication.
- Monitor work zones continuously for hazards or unsafe conditions, taking immediate corrective action when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols related to traffic control, heavy equipment operation, and outdoor construction activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks in compliance with project requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience in traffic control for work zones or outdoor construction environments.
- Ability to Stand in all weather conditions safely over extended periods outdoors.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills for directing traffic and coordinating with team members effectively..
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Attention to details, Alert an aware of surroundings
- Valid drivers License ( No SR22 S)
- Able to pass a pre employment drug test
- Ability to work out of town on projects
