HFM is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Labor & Employment practice group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience handling Employment litigation matters, including all phases of case management, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and highly respected team, work on sophisticated and challenging matters, and continue developing your litigation skills within one of San Diego’s premier law firms.
Responsibilities
Work on employment litigation matters of various sizes including individual, class, wage & hour, harassment & discrimination, and PAGA litigation
Extensive contact with client representatives and opposing counsel
Assist with workplace investigations
Take and defend depositions
Draft pleadings and motions, including dispositive motions
Draft and respond to discovery and correspondence
Required Experience
Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
2-5 years’ of experience in employment litigation required
Wage and hour class action/PAGA experience highly preferred
Possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral, and written communication skills
Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work independently as well as within a team
