We are an expanding business within the retail and wholesale flooring industry, serving customers through two divisions operating in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Associate. This role will be instrumental in managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and processing inventory reports across both divisions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and possess a proactive approach to learning our industry-specific flooring management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Execute accounts payable & receivable.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Generate and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel. Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Become proficient in our industry-specific flooring software. This will involve learning the system's features and functionalities to manage inventory, sales data, and other relevant information for financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and other team members on various financial projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Please highlight your specific Excel skills in your application.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
