Higgins, Marcus & Lovett, Inc. is an independent business valuation and litigation consulting firm established in 1980. The firm is based in Los Angeles and serves clients throughout California. The firm performs business appraisals for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift taxes, income tax, eminent domain and employee stock ownership plans. The firm also provides financial analysis and expert testimony in business litigation. Our professional staff work closely with business owners and senior executives, as well as with other professionals in the legal and accounting fields.
We currently have an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our team. We are focused on candidates having approximately 10 years of experience in business valuation or a closely-related field. A bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional credential such as the ASA, CFA, CVA or CPA. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Word and Excel is also required.
Senior Associates are responsible for conducting all aspects of valuing a business, including:
· Financial Statement Analysis
· Industry and Economic Analysis
· Business Operating Risk Assessment
· Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasting
· Public Company Research
· Mergers and Acquisitions Research
· Financial Modeling
· Report Writing
· Interacting with Clients and Advisors
Senior Managers are responsible for all of the above as well as supervising the work of others. Business development or networking experience is valued, though not essential for this role.
