The Journeyman Commercial Carpenter is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents
- Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision
- Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship
- Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- 5 years of commercial carpentry experience
- Proven experience with metal stud framing, drywall hanging/finishing, and ACT systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Ability to lift 100 lbs and work in various jobsite conditions
- Produces high-quality work with minimal supervision
- Consistently meets production expectations

Foreman – Commercial Interiors (Framing, Drywall, ACT)

Compensation: Hourly or Salary, based on experience (Paid weekly)
The Foreman is responsible for leading field crews in the installation of metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems on commercial construction projects. This role drives production, ensures safety compliance, maintains quality standards, and serves as the primary point of coordination between the field and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites
- Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals
- Read and interpret blueprints to direct layout and installation
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades
- Track labor productivity and adjust crews as needed
- Identify and resolve jobsite challenges proactively
- Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members
- 6–10 years of commercial carpentry experience
- 2 years in a leadership or foreman role preferred
- Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT
- Ability to read plans and manage layout independently
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
