PARTS DRIVER

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

John Hiester Automotive is currently seeking a full-time Delivery/Route Driver. In this role, you will:

    Deliver any parts assigned to you for delivery by dispatcher.
    Greet and service customers at every stop.
    Ask if there is anything you can do for the customer (core pickups, returns, additional orders).
    Follow correct paperwork procedures.
    Pull invoices to help prep additional sales going out on other deliveries.
    Collect money from each stop as necessary.
    Assist with any additional tasks assigned to you. (Scan parts, used battery prep, bin checks…etc.)
    Help keep warehouse clean and organized.
    Keep vehicles clean and up to date on services. (Daily vehicle report sheets)
    Operate forklift as needed.
    Learn and retain any business knowledge to grow not just as an employee but as an individual.
    Report to Assistant Manager and General Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Must have a clean criminal background and pass pre-employment drug screen.
    An active and valid driver license and good driving record.
    Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    Capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
    Ability to communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers.
    Have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented.
    Obtain the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
    Professional demeanor.
    Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements.
    Ability to work with customers in sometimes difficult and confrontational situations
    Follow company policies and procedures. Supports company goals.
    At least three years driving experience



HIESTER WHOLESALE PARTS DRIVER SCHEDULE

    Monday-Friday 7:30am- 5:30 pm.
    Saturday on rotation with other drivers. (Maybe 1 Saturday a month)
    Exact times vary with route being covered or number of deliveries in day. Times listed are just a min-max.
