Clinical Research Pharmacy Technician (Field-Based)
Location: Folsom / Sacramento, CA (Hybrid: Office Field Visits)
HiDO Health is an NIH-funded healthcare technology company focused on improving medication adherence and outcomes for patients with chronic conditions, including dementia and heart failure. Our HomeCare System integrates robotics, AI, and clinical workflows to support patients in the home and reduce hospitalizations.
We are actively conducting clinical studies in partnership with leading institutions and are seeking a highly motivated individual to support study execution, patient engagement, and device deployment.
We are looking for a Clinical Research Pharmacy Technician who is comfortable working both in the field (patient homes) and in-office (device testing and study coordination).
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of clinical research, patient care, and healthcare technology. You will play a critical role in ensuring successful patient onboarding, protocol adherence, and high-quality data collection.
- Conduct in-home visits with patients and caregivers
- Train patients on use of medication adherence devices
- Observe and document medication-taking behavior
- Ensure adherence to clinical study protocols (IRB/NIH)
- Assist with study visits, data collection, and documentation
- Maintain accurate records (e.g., REDCap, study logs)
- Identify and escalate protocol deviations or issues
- Support recruitment and onboarding efforts
- Test, prepare, and QA devices prior to deployment
- Assist with device setup, troubleshooting, and inventory tracking
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams on issues
Required:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) OR relevant clinical experience (Medical Assistant, Clinical Research Coordinator, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
- Comfortable working directly with patients (including in-home visits)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience in clinical research or home health
- Familiarity with data collection systems (e.g., REDCap)
- Experience working with elderly or cognitively impaired populations
- Comfort with technology / medical devices
- $26–32/hour, based on experience
- Part-time or full-time (flexible based on candidate)
- Mileage reimbursement for field visits
