We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team at our assisted living facility in Fishkill, NY. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to resident safety, quality care, and supporting the health and well-being of our senior residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with medication-related tasks in accordance with New York State regulations, facility policies, and applicable staff authorization.
- Follow medication administration procedures and accurately document medication-related activities.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing staff.
- Communicate with nurses and other team members regarding residents' needs.
- Maintain accurate medication records and help ensure medication areas are organized and secure.
- Support residents with daily living activities as needed.
- Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence.
- Follow infection control procedures and all facility safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Medication aide or medication administration training preferred.
- Must meet applicable New York State requirements and facility qualifications for assigned medication-related duties.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
