HICO America, headquartered in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with facilities in Los Angeles, Greensburg, PA, and Memphis TN, is part of the Power Systems business unit, in the Industrial Performance Group of the Hyosung Corporation, a large publicly traded corporation based in Seoul, South Korea. HICO is an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company, with primary business in power system products.
The IT Engineer will provide end-user support and PC network maintenance, including both hardware and software.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Essential Functions:
- User Support: Assist and support local and remote users in resolving hardware and software-related computer problems for laptops, desktops, and workstations.
- Documentation: Document all user problems in the company's help desk software, ensuring a comprehensive record of issues.
- Problem Resolution: Follow problems through to a timely resolution, collaborating with other IT team members.
- Product Support: Assist with product upgrades and new implementations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Roll out, repair, and return PC equipment while maintaining an accurate computer asset inventory.
- Lease Coordination: Coordinate lease returns of IT equipment and manage related administrative tasks.
- User Training: Provide user training to enhance end-user knowledge and productivity.
- Data Backup: Administer the data backup program to safeguard critical information.
- Telephony System: Monitor and coordinate all aspects related to the telephone system, including upgrades, changes, and user assistance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members to address problems and support the Division Controller and Corporate IT Department as needed.
- Professional Image: Promote the positive and professional image of the IT Department when dealing with other departments, vendors, and customers.
- Information Security: Apply information security practices based on ISO27001 and understand their impact in the workplace.
- Programming Support: Frontend(Vue.js) and backend application(C# REST API), Database(MSSQL) query, and other programming support
- Managing L2 and L3 network switches and backup network switch configurations
Non-Essential Functions:
- Copier Management: Monitor and coordinate aspects related to digital multi-function copy machines.
- Project Management: Manage upgrade projects as assigned.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Special Skills/Experience/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Developed knowledge of PC repair, configuration, networking, Windows, MS Office, and other current company operating system platforms and applications.
- Working knowledge of firewall applications.
- Preferred certifications: A certification or MCIPT certification
- Preferred Network certification: CCNA(“Certified Cisco Network Administrator).
- Advanced knowledge of PC applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office 365 products and Teams.
Physical/Mental Characteristics and Environmental Factors:
- Ability to use office equipment such as PC, photocopier, fax machine, etc.
- Ability to analyze data.
- Ability to lift and move computer and related equipment as necessary to complete essential job functions.
