What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Integration Manager position at Hickory?
About Hickory
Hickory partners with craftsmen and business owners who build their reputations one job, one hard-earned milestone at a time. We're committed to becoming the trusted high-end residential HVAC provider, one zone at a time, building an enduring company where employees set a new standard of excellence in sustainable heating and cooling.
Our team rallies around our core values: putting employees first, treating everybody with respect, delighting customers, raising the bar, and get stuff done (GSD).
Today, Hickory partners and operates a dozen residential HVAC brands across the Tristate area with over 300 employees and growing fast.
The Role
We're partnering with great companies. When we bring a new brand into the family, someone has to untangle the systems — assessing what exists, coordinating the transition, and making sure teams can operate from day one. That's this role.
The IT Integration Manager sits on our M&A team. You're the person who can walk into a family-run HVAC company, quickly understand how their technology actually works, and lead the technical work to bring them into the Hickory family without breaking what keeps them running.
What success looks like: clean system inventories, smooth day-one transitions, and repeatable playbooks that make every integration faster than the last.
What We're Looking For
- 4 years in IT operations, systems administration, MSP work, technical project management, or systems integration
- Working knowledge of networks, DNS, domains, VoIP, SaaS administration, and Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace
- Experience with domain registrars, web hosting, CMS platforms, and email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
- Comfortable extracting, cleaning, and organizing data from legacy systems
- Strong communicator — you can work clearly with local teams, vendors, office managers, and executives
- Calm in ambiguous environments where ownership and documentation are unclear
- Travel: ~1 week/month within the Northeast by car; domestic flights to new business units
Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match
- PTO
- Career growth in a fast-scaling company
Base Compensation: $90,000–$120,000
