Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of wine bar operations, including service, food preparation, and beverage offerings
- Manage inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels of wines, spirits, and related supplies
- Oversee POS system for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and responsible alcohol service to maintain high standards
- Coordinate shift management, ensuring smooth transitions between team members while maintaining efficiency
- Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across the bar and kitchen areas
- Lead staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing training to foster a motivated team environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or culinary roles within a fast-paced restaurant or bar setting
- Strong background in restaurant management, supervising teams, and food service operations
- Familiarity with POS systems, experience with cash handling and inventory control is essential
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Demonstrated leadership in hospitality management with experience in training & development and staff supervision
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling best practices within the food industry
- Prior casual dining or fine dining experience preferred; banquet or catering background is a plus
- Ability to manage budgets, perform shift management duties effectively, and oversee food production processes
