Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all shipping logistics activities. Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments using warehouse management systems and RFID scanners.
• Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately according to customer specifications and trade compliance standards.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations when applicable.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipping inquiries promptly and resolving issues related to order fulfillment or shipment status.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order processing and inventory counts.
• Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as trade compliance or international trade regulations are a plus.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; experience with RF scanners, load & unload equipment, pallet jacks, and order pickers preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a customer service mindset; capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of shipping logistics, packaging standards, order picking & packing procedures.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
