Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Resident Aide at Hickory Log Personal Care Home. As a Resident Aide, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to residents with special needs including intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. Your day-to-day tasks will include assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment. In addition, you will be responsible for promoting the personal growth and independence of residents through vocational and life skills training. We are currently seeking a full time first shift.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with special needs
- At least 21 years of age
- Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion
- Ability to assist with daily living activities
- Medication management skills
- Understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Experience with vocational and life skills training is a plus
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
