Duties
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to guide pipefitting and fabrication activities.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment in accordance with blueprints and safety protocols.
- Conduct rigorous quality control inspections on fabricated and installed piping systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and project specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work processes, inspection reports, and compliance records for all piping installations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to install compressor stations, facility construction, & pipeline systems on-site.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations by utilizing proper PPE, following safety procedures for rigging, tube bending, welding, and power tool operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pipefitting within construction or manufacturing environments; familiarity with construction site safety is essential.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints related to plumbing, or pipeline systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe installation processes such as threading, welding, & flange connections
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA guidelines for construction sites.
- Experience with rigging operations, power tool safety practices, and maintenance of hand tools required for fabrication tasks.
