As a shipping and receiving clerk you will be working with our egg-straordinary warehouse team and provide continuous support to our drivers, be quick to respond to questions, and troubleshoot concerns to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. A shipping and receiving clerk will be responsible for planning, and routing loads with routing software and communicate regularly with the corporate accounting offices. A Transportation Planner needs to be energetic, self-motivated and an egg-straordinary representation of Hickman’s Family Farms.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Point of contact between Warehouse & Front Gate personnel
- Prepares shipping and receiving documents for Warehouse Crew
- Maintains shipping and receiving records in an orderly and accessible manner
- Verify inventory by comparing physical counts and investigating discrepancies and adjustment errors
- Keeps records of all inbound and outbound products
- Processes and verifies documentation for export loads
- Verifies all loads are processed properly before forwarding to the accounting department
- Manages shipping procedures provided by company Transportation Department
Qualifications
- Proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook
- Experience with Accounting/Inventory Software
- Ability to sit for long hours
- Ability to perform successfully under time pressures
- Self-motivated
