Hickman Community Charter District JOB DESCRIPTION Custodian I QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to the completion of 12th grade Knowledge of school operation and necessary maintenance skills to satisfactorily complete the assignment (i.e. electrical, plumbing, carpentry.) Satisfactory completion of the District employee’s minimum competency test. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor JOB GOAL: To achieve and maintain a clean, smooth, safe site. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows the daily cleaning schedule for classrooms, offices, library, and cafeteria. Assists in moving or rearranging chairs, tables, desks, furniture, and other equipment. Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to immediate supervisor. Performs services in individual classrooms as directed by supervisor. Assists in receiving and shelving classroom and cafeteria supplies. Daily locks doors, closes windows, locks playground gates, and sees that the school is secure before leaving. Other duties as assigned by the supervisory personnel. Performs other related duties as required. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of all employees. Keep supply room stocked and supplies put away. Stamp all textbooks, support materials, instructional materials with school identification stamps. Minor maintenance item as required. WORK YEAR Paid in column G of Classified Salary Schedule. EVALUATION: The performance of this position will be evaluated annually. Rev October 16, 2017
