We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working General Laborer – Machine Operator to support our production process. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company committed to quality, safety, and employee growth. You will have the chance to operate various machines, assist with material handling, and play an important role in ensuring our products meet high-quality standards.
General Laborer – Machine Operator Key Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load and unload steel and aluminum materials via overhead/jib crane or manually.
- Machine Operation: Operate machines such as CNC saws, press brakes, lasers, and robotic systems according to engineering specifications.
- Grinding and Cleaning: Grind and clean materials as specified by engineering and production schedules.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, bend, and hold materials in place when needed.
- Quality Control: Measure, inspect, and ensure materials meet quality standards before release to end-users. Correct any inconsistencies as needed.
- Work Area Maintenance: Ensure that work areas and equipment remain clean and organized to support efficient and safe operations.
- Adaptability: Follow instructions accurately and adjust quickly to the fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
General Laborer – Machine Operator Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Must be physically capable of handling heavy materials and maintaining a fast-paced work pace
- Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively within a team environment
- Positive attitude, good attendance, and a commitment to safety
