Fertilization Technician (Lawn Care Specialist)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fertilization Technician to provide lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties. This position involves applying fertilizers and weed control products, diagnosing lawn issues, and delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides safely and effectively
Identify lawn issues such as weeds, pests, and nutrient deficiencies
Operate and maintain application equipment (sprayers, spreaders)
Follow all safety procedures and state and federal regulations
Maintain accurate service records and route information
Communicate with customers regarding services performed and recommendations
Maintain company vehicle and equipment in good working order
Represent the company professionally at all times
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor daily
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in lawn care, landscaping, or pest control
State pesticide applicator license (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of turfgrass and common lawn issues
Schedule
Monday through Friday
First shift (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some variability based on workload and season)
Work Environment
Primarily outdoors
Exposure to lawn care products (proper safety equipment provided)
Route-based, fast-paced work environment
Pay
$23-30 (based on experience)
