Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities confidently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Assist in food handling and food safety practices to ensure quality standards are met at all times
- Engage with customers to provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and promote menu items effectively
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee preparation is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving or food industry roles is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
