Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods with confidence
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
- Upsell products and promote store specials through engaging product demos and friendly communication
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure products are well-presented and accessible
- Maintain accurate cash drawer handling, balancing registers at the end of shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product knowledge, and guiding customers through their shopping journey
Skills
- Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising, and store policies
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally
- Experience in retail sales, upselling, product demos, and cashiering roles
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly and maintain a well-organized cash drawer
