The primary job duty will be providing outstanding customer service for our valuable customers!
Other job responsibilities will include:
- Process unposted and other exception items
- Open new consumer and business deposit accounts of all types
- Process incoming returned checks
- Reconcile internal official check accounts, Bond Accounts, correspondent bank account and GL Accounts
- Process and monitor stop payments
- Process wire transfers
- Assist in the administration of ACH transactions and related originator analysis
- Assist in the administration of the bank’s BSA program
- Assist in preparation of schedules and documents for various audits
- Flag deceased customers and monitors activity to ensure certain transactions are rejected as appropriate
- Perform address changes and the tracking of returned mail for deposit accounts
- Work with correspondent bank to handle check adjustments and other items requiring research
- Work with and assist branches with operational issues
- Work with eStatement requests and processing
- Assist with the processing of overdrafts, and handling of delinquent and charged off deposit accounts
- Assist in the handling of garnishments, levies, and withholding orders received
- Perform a variety of account maintenance including flagging accounts, changing customers’ status, and boarding accounts onto the core system
- Assist customers with account questions, statement balancing, product support, account maintenance, online/mobile banking, mobile deposit, and debit cards
- Perform daily update/backup tasks
- Understand and follows bank/department regulations, policies, and procedures, and participate in all compliance-related training
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality/privacy of information
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of two years of teller and/or bank experience is required.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Available to work full-time Monday through Friday 8 hours, with at least 1 Saturday morning per month
- Must be dependable and able to work the required shifts
- Always maintain professional appearance and behavior
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license is required
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with all types of customers
- Must be a team player and willing to jump in to assist with any special projects, etc.
