Responsibilities
- Support roofing crews by carrying materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
- Assist with the installation and repair of various roofing systems, including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and restoration projects
- Help set up scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses in accordance with construction safety regulations
- Prepare work areas by cleaning debris and organizing tools and materials for efficient workflow
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, and construction safety harnesses
- Interpret basic construction plans and schematics to assist with project tasks
- Participate in site cleanup and ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or roofing is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with ladder use, scaffolding setup, and safety harnesses is a plus
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics is advantageous
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
