What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician, Per Diem, Variable Shifts position at Hialeah Hospital?
Position Summary
Assists in the preparation, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of the pharmacist. Processes new medication orders as well as discharges and transfers. Responsible for stocking medications and inventory management. Involved with Pharmacy quality assurance activities and assists the pharmacists in performing various duties. Prepares and delivers IV sterile products under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
Education/Experience/Licensure/Technical/Other:
- Education:
- High School or Equivalent GED
- Experience:
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. I.V. experience preferred.
- Software/Hardware:
- Basic computer skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- License/Certification:
- Current Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
- Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
- BLS Certification Required.
