Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including counting cash, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and participating in periodic stock counts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or coordinating store operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions confidently
- Proven experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
