Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of a remote engine testing facility. This position is responsible for keeping the facility, grounds, utilities, and support equipment safe, clean, organized, and operational.
The ideal candidate is a versatile maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude who can troubleshoot problems, perform preventative maintenance, work independently with limited supervision, and coordinate outside contractors when specialized work is required.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform routine facility, grounds, utility, and equipment inspections and complete daily checklists.
● Perform preventative, corrective, and general maintenance and minor building repairs.
● Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, electrical/lighting, plumbing/water, compressed air, generators/backup power, shop equipment, doors, gates, fencing, and other building systems.
● Monitor facility conditions and identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
● Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
● Maintain maintenance records, inspection checklists, tool/parts inventories, and supplies.
● Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service providers as needed.
● Support grounds maintenance, seasonal tasks, shipment/mail receiving, and occasional errands (mileage reimbursed).
● Respond to scheduled facility maintenance issues and emergencies.
● Communicate facility conditions, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to management and engineering/test personnel.
● Support engine testing operations while maintaining appropriate separation from active test equipment and hazardous operations.
● Do not perform work on engines or test systems unless specifically authorized, trained, and qualified.
Required Qualifications
● High school diploma or GED.
● Minimum 2 years of facilities, industrial, mechanical, or related maintenance experience.
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
