What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control / Crew Member position at HI TECH UTILITY CONSTRUCTION?
Duties:
- Direct traffic at construction sites or other locations as assigned
- Set up and remove traffic cones, signs, and barricades to control the flow of traffic
- Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to ensure their safety and provide directions as needed
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust traffic control measures as necessary
- Report any incidents or issues to supervisors or law enforcement as required
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on the job
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, pedestrians, and coworkers
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate placement of traffic control devices
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and withstand outdoor weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of traffic laws and regulations-Bilingual Spanish PREFERED
This position does not involve project management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
