Schedule
- Training Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Regular Schedule (after training): Monday-Friday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
- 8-hour shifts
- Overtime available
Pay
- $18.00 per hour during the training period
- $20.00 per hour upon successful completion of training and transition to the regular 3rd shift schedule

Hi-Tech Plastics, Inc. is a premier manufacturer of Colored Cast Stretch Film and Specialty Films serving customers throughout North America.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operator Trainee will work as an Operator Helper while learning all aspects of the cast stretch film manufacturing process. Training typically lasts 1 to 2 months and is completed on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). After successfully completing the training program, employees transition to the 3rd shift Operator Trainee position (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) at a rate of $20.00 per hour.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position involving repetitive tasks, operation of production equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The Operator Trainee works closely with experienced Operators to learn the extrusion process, equipment operation, quality standards, and safe manufacturing practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in making cast extruded stretch film (pallet wrap) meeting targeted production goals.
Carefully read and produce production orders on automated equipment.
Inspect/test and record daily Inspection Sheets to ensure product meets our standard of quality.
Label, weigh, record and pack cases/rolls on pallets per packing standards.
Monitor product and adjust equipment as needed to meet waste goals.
Assist where needed – communication is critical.
Maintain an organized and safe workspace.
General cleaning on the production floor.
Assist in all phases of machine operations as needed for breaks, changes, projects and vacations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be 18 years or older.
Must have the ability to do repetitive lifting; Maximum 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to read and comprehend general instructions.
Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
Must be able to have daily on time attendance.
Must be able to work in a TEAM atmosphere.
Good math skills are a plus.
Pre-employment drug screening is required.
